It has been many years since I’ve played any of the Fate games, or even the Torchlight series of ARPGs that built on its foundations, but I do recall it being a pleasantly back-to-basics experience.
Bosses are usually found FATE Reawakened for quests, but are sometimes encountered randomly in the dungeon. These formidable foes are larger than regular monsters, and offer unique challenges. They drop more gold and enchanted weapons!
Given the impact its had, it only seemed fitting that Fate’s 20-year anniversary be met with something just as special as the franchise itself – a thrilling remaster that actually stays true to why players loved it in the first place.
That’s not to say that we don’t have Fate fans internally though! Our team put in a lot of effort and care over the course of the development process. The dark and moody area of Druantia in particular was something that we spent a lot of time on.
